The Ethics and Compliance Initiative published its first 2020 global survey, entitled “Pressure in the Workplace: Possible Risk Factors and Those at Risk.” The survey focuses on pressure to disregard compliance standards on workers, identification of risk-intensive situations, and guidance on reducing their effects.
The Toro Company and The Hoffman Family Foundation have generously committed $3 million to the University of St. Thomas to create the Melrose and The Toro Company Center for Principled Leadership.
On August 31, 2020, the Department of Labor addressed how a fluctuating workweek impacts calculation of overtime. The letter (FLSA2020-14) states that workweeks do not need to fluctuate above and below 40 hours/week to use the fluctuating workweek method of determining overtime. The employee’s hours must simply fluctuate week to week.
