Take a deeper look at a beloved classic
This holiday season, the University of St. Thomas and the Guthrie Theater presented a virtual event exploring art, business and ethics in the spirit of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The event examined how Ebenezer Scrooge’s transformation from self-serving miser to good neighbor applies to modern-day business and principled leadership.
The event featured Guthrie actors reading excerpts from A Christmas Carol, interspersed with discussion by a panel of leaders, scholars and theatermakers. Christopher Michaelson, Professor and Academic Director of the Melrose and The Toro Company Center for Principled Leadership, moderated the event, and actors Nathaniel Fuller and Meghan Kreidler gave live performances. Panelists included:
- Joseph Haj, Artistic Director of the Guthrie Theater
- Allison O’Toole, CEO of Second Harvest Heartland
- Brian Rosenberg, President-in-Residence at Harvard Graduate School of Education
We hope you enjoy this recorded event!
